Based on the concepts of the power, the character and specifics of the relationship between the power and the political opposition are analyzed. The political opposition is considered through the category “power”. It is found out the causes and the level of dependence of the opposition from the power.
It is considered that within the dichotomy of "power-opposition" relations have subject-subjective character. These are two equally competitive forces which have different status, however, it is temporary and may be changed depending on the election results or for any other reason.
The character of the relationship between the two sides, their forms and methods are considered to be derived from the uneven attitude to the resources. In this case, complete domination over power resources minimizes the impact on access to the decision-making process from the side of the opposition and exacerbates the conflict between the sides.
