Spread of russian propaganda narratives in the telegram channel «today’s world with yury podyalak» (december 2022)

Actuality of theme. The article is devoted to the problem of studying narratives of Russian propaganda, which are spread through mass communication and new media (telegram channels) by Russian propagandists. The review and analysis of the articles of the Russian Telegram channel «Mir segodnya s Yury Podolyak» aims to distinguish the tone of rhetoric and the main narratives spread by the Russian propagandist in the virtual space regarding Ukrainians, Ukraine and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The purpose of the article is to investigate and highlight the negative narratives of Russian propaganda in the Telegram channel "Mir segodnya s Yury Podolyak" during December 2022.
Research methodology. the article uses a complex of general and special methods: the method of conceptual analysis in determining individual narratives that are present in the articles of the Russian propaganda Telegram channel; a comparative analysis in highlighting the narratives spread by the Russian propagandist and other Russian propagandists regarding the image of Ukrainians, Ukraine and the Russian-Ukrainian war among ordinary Russians, as well as a synthesis.
The author analyzes the articles of the Russian propagandist and singles out in them propaganda narratives that do not have a negative color and carry a negative image of the Ukrainian, of Ukraine in the world. Distortion of facts, excessive emotionality, condemnation of everything Ukrainian are studied by the author in a scientific article.
Results and conclusions. The Telegram channel «Peace Today with Yury Podolyak» spreads outright lies about Ukrainians and the Russian-Ukrainian war. The articles and messages of this Telegram channel contain narratives that have a negative propaganda character and create a negative image of Ukraine and Ukrainians in the minds of the channel’s readers. The manipulative materials about Ukraine, Ukrainians, the Armed Forces, Ukrainian soldiers, and Ukrainian politicians of this Telegram channel have negative images that subconsciously affect the average Russian subscribers of this channel.
